Trequity Capital Acquires Lands for Bee-Keeping Operations.
Trequity Capital Nigeria, a finance and asset growth company with key investment focus on technology companies, capital markets, and real estate and alternative investments has expanded its alternative investment portfolio through the acquisition of lands in the Epe area of Lagos in a bid to set up demonstration farms for the pilot phase of its bee-keeping operations. This move is also a consolidation of the company’s efforts at deepening its involvement in the agribusiness value chain which began with the exportation of beeswax to Burkina Faso in mid-2017.
On the final trip to complete the documentation exercise, the team from Trequity Capital (Nigeria) made up of Ms. Omotomiwa Osikomaiya and Mr. Edwin Aguddah paid a visit to the town’s Regent to sensitize the council and other members of the community on the efforts being made by the company towards creating sustainable employment solutions and bringing agricultural investment to the region.
Having successfully completed a number of commodity export transactions in 2017 with beeswax sourced from far northern Nigeria and neighboring African countries, it is the belief of Trequity Capital that setting up these pilot bee-keeping farms will ramp up efforts towards the achievement of the desired result of fully sourcing beeswax locally and at the same time, empowering the members of the community who will be opportune to manage their own farms as well, thus creating an off-take arrangement where the company is able to purchase from them at globally competitive rates
